These beautiful eggs were hand-delivered right to our home by our {in}famous Uncle Garnie (UG) who joined us this weekend for “Paint Fest 2014”. Thanks to UG we painted a bathroom, bedroom and our backdoor/stairwell area in record time! I love freshening things up for spring!
…………………….
So, a couple of weeks back I was musing about time management. Although it is a slow process, I’m still optimistic that I can make it work – especially with the winter activities winding down. I feel like I’ll have a chance to catch my breath and regroup.
This week marked the end of hockey and power skating for my 9 year old, and I think we all felt the relief. It is nice to have a few evenings each week to re-charge, and I can definitely feel the difference. The kids had a chance to play, they (like hundreds of other kids in the Interlake area) have been making zillions of bracelets (see the pic of my son). They are being silly and doing all the things 9 and 6 year olds should be doing, because childhood has an expiry date. We already feel the pressure of homework and extra-curricular activities, so each chance we get to let the kids be kids we’re letting it happen (and keeping the camera close by)!
*Also, note that our Saudi Arabians have trekked back and brought with them some souvenirs for the littles. I’m sure we’ll be seeing many more tokens from their adventure!
…stay tuned because next week I have a feeling things are about to heat up…
