This week our family made the four hour trek east to lovely Blue Lake, Ontario. My husband’s family has been going annually for about sixteen years now and it never disappoints. As you can see, the water is incredible (and might I add, incredibly cold)! I could write a whole blog post on Blue Lake…
In the past few years, the boys have gone to Blue Lake alone. It was their annual Boys’ Weekend. We girls chose to stay at home for our Girl Time in years past, but this year we crashed the boys’ fun. We decided to join the boys for the beginning of the week and then split up leaving the boys at the lake. Our girl time began with a trip to the “treasure” store (a local antique store) where Little One found some puppy figurines to add to her budding collection. We also went mini golfing, played at the park, had a fancy dinner out and hit our favourite local book store. It was all the Little One wanted and more. 🙂
When the boys returned we bid farewell to Daddy, again, and headed south to Morden. Pictured below is a sign for their local dinosaur museum (more on that later, too).
I’m ending this week’s post with a last look at the crystal clear water of Blue Lake, but don’t worry. More on that to come….
